![]() Did a test install of 6.7.0U1 from USB to a Late 2012 Mac Mini - and it failed with the expected "Mutiboot buffer is too small".Downloaded the latest 10.14.2 installer and put it onto a USB key.Downloaded the 6.7.0 and 6.7.0U1 installers and put them onto USB keys.I wonder if there is new firmware in 10.14.2? Hmmm.macOS includes the firmware updates in the OS updates.New firmware is included in macOS 10.14.2.I have a 4-node Vsphere ESXi 6.7.0U1 fully-patched cluster up and running on Mac Mini Late 2012 (Macmini6,2) hardware.Have a great weekend everyone Summary - Its Alive! We also have a MacMini7,1 that wouldn't install and this worked on that system as well. This might fix your issues for 6.7 as well. Haven't migrated VMs or joined the cluster yet but this is as far as I've gotten. It successfully pulled an IP and I can log in through vSphere. Once I did that, I booted from the ESXi USB installer and the installation ran just fine. The way I was able to do this was by booting from an El Capitan USB installer, launching the Disk Utility and wiping all the partitions on the system disk. I was able to get ESXi 6.0.0 4192238 installed to the local drive on MacPro6,1. ![]() ![]() Also hopping my existing vm's can also run under ESXi.Morning all. Before ditching the Mac mini for a NUC pc or similar form factor, I thought It might be a good idea to try either of these 2 options:-ġ) Native install of Windows 10 on the Mac mini so I can run my Plex server and also install VMware workstation for my VMsĢ) Install Vmware ESXi and run Plex in a windows 10 vm. The newer Mac mini is not an option, not enough space for too much money and I could do with going down the windows route anyway. However the Plex server runs perfectly without transcoding issues. Sometimes when the vm's choke up the Mac also freezes which is surprising for a vm to affect the host pc. Remote login to the Mac is not as fast as it used to be. It's have been an excellent kit but due to lack of new OS support its becoming very annoying of late despite a fresh install. It also hosts a couple of windows VMware vm's that I spin up when required. ![]() specs are i7 Quad core 2.0Ghz, 16GB ram 2X 2TB SSD. ![]()
